can i text on the nv3? i mean i cant read n e thing on the screen cauz im blind the only thing i can c is light/dark/shadows. is it completely accessible 4 me 2 receive texts, respond 2 texts, and everything else? what about the menus? r those fully accessible?? and if i respond 2 texts, will it read all the letters, if i delete a letter, will it read that too? what about if i use my arrow keys 2 reread what i wrote, will it read that too??

You're better off holding on to the Ozone.

No, you can't read what you've written, or at least, I don't think so anyway. I'd stick with the OZone myself if I could get a copy of MSS

I have Verizon, and the enV3. I don't have the money to get MobileSpeak and a compatible phone.

Yes, you can send and receive texts with the enV3. It will read the message, and it will read each letter as you type your response. However, you can't proof read what you've written, so you have to be careful while you do it. If you delete a letter, it won't speak that, but it will make a beep every time you press the backspace key, so it's a matter of knowing what you've typed and how many spaces you need to go back. If you're careful, you shouldn't have too much trouble there.

The menus are only partially accessible. You can get pretty far into them, but then the phone stops reading the choices. I have no idea why the hell they do that. If they can make some of the menus talk, I see no reason why they can't just make it complete, and have them all talk. One of those questions I'd love to ask LG, if I thought I'd get any kind of useful response. So, while you can change some options on your phone, you can't do all of it. You can at least add, remove, and modify all your contacts, check things like your battery and signal strength, and a lot of other stuff. Hope this helps.

I've heard mixed reviews about it but...

VZW is offering that deal with the ozone and talks. Last time I checked it out, it was $49. My biggest issue with it was it's sluggishness, but there has been an update to talks since then. Maybe it has improved.

I use to have the env line of phones. At the time, it was great. I could do nearly everything I wanted to. Not being able to proof read a text, was a bummer, but rarely a problem.

The other drawback, is the phone will readout the text msg, but it only reads the text sender once. If you happen to miss when the msg came in, you can't hear the sender's name later on. You need to figure it out by what the msg says.

Lol, does that make sense? You receive a text at 4:00, but don't happen to be right by your phone. The text says, meet you for dinner, you need to guess who is likely to send that.

A bonus to the env phone, is I loved the keypad! A little raised nib on the f and j keys. That makes complete sence!

Good luck on your decision!

I like the EnV I have a 2. I say it is about 85% accessible, and as posted it is limited. If you are going with VZW and can afford the $70 per month for the correct plan so it works completely then stick with it, but change to Verizon. You can get Mobile speaks or Talks and it is free, comes with the phone. The Ozone is 100% accessible, or at least the things screen readers do anyway, not like eyes exactly. :)
Now if you see this quick enough A T T is offering all new subscribers any phone they have for a peeny, so you could get the bgest you want. The draw back is you'll have to pay $89 for the reader software, but you can choose any phone that is compatible. Call them. Smile.

Have you hit right-soft key? That brings up the list to access history, address bar, and the like. That is how I got started.
